U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords started rolling out her endorsements Tuesday, highlighting a first round of support from Republicans and independents.

Among the supporters: Arizona Corporation Commissioner Kris Mayes, Sahuarita Mayor Lynne Skelton, former Arizona Board of Regents president Judy Gignac and longtime auto dealer Don Mackey. David Rataczak, adjutant general of the Arizona Army and Air National Guard from 1999 through 2008, lauded Giffords’ support for the military, while Paul Bonavia, the CEO of UniSource Energy, complimented her work on solar projects.

The release did not specify the party registration of each individual.

“Party affiliation doesn’t matter to these men and women,” said campaign Chairman Michael McNulty, in a statement. “They want a representative who rolls up her sleeves and reaches across the aisle to get the job done.”
